Questions, answered
Do I need the app?
Yes. The free Mudawem app is where you pair the device, set your location and mark prayers complete. It's available for iOS and Android, with no subscription.
Does the sign calculate prayer times?
No. You only set your location through the app, and your times are calculated from that. If you want, you can change the calculation method or adjust individual prayers by a few minutes.
What does red actually mean?
A soft red means a prayer that's come due hasn't been marked yet, over a rolling seven-day view. It's a gentle nudge, never a judgment. Once you're caught up, it returns to green.
How is it powered?
Over USB-C, from a 5V USB adapter (cable and adapter aren't included). It draws very little power, so a certified phone charger you already own is plenty. Use a UL- or ETL-listed adapter and an undamaged cable, and keep it dry and indoors.
Can I mount it on a wall?
Yes. It ships with a wall mount and can also free-stand on a shelf or console. Setup takes a few minutes with no tools.
Is there a subscription?
Never. You pay once for the sign, and every app feature is included for free.
Is it under warranty?
Yes. Every Mudawem sign is covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Read the warranty
